This is a very interesting concept- it's part graphic novel, part serial novel. Limekiller at Large is set in a world with Superheroes. It starts with a traffic accident, then segues to a executive secretary being sent (rather to her annoyance) on some sort of super-powered errand. Arizona Ryder is the wife of one of the greatest supes around- Commander Dynamic. Unfortunately, he's also dynamic at sleeping around.Her errand has her escorted by "The Blue Pangolin" to a meeting with the Limekiller in the title- a slacker hedonist, who wakes up with two women in his bed and answers the door sans pantaloons- If you get my drift.
The story is sprinkled with comic-book like drawings and occasionally the action will go off the printed page and go onto a page or two of comic book art.
The art is interesting, the story is rather adult. But so far, nothing much has happened in Issue #1, and we don't have much grasp of what sort of powers the "superheroes' have in this world. I mean, is it more Justice League of America or more Mystery Men?
I'll have to withdraw full judgment until I see more issues, but until then, I am certainly interested.
